Who is Annie?
I am a multi-passionate creative who has found her ikigai in design.
Ever since I can remember, curiosity has been a driving force in my many pursuits. Whether it be in the professional world or my personal life, I am always asking questions and thinking outside the box.
This curiosity led me into the realm of web and graphic design over 20 years ago, and during that time, I have had the immense joy of making an impact using my skills. Because for me, it isn’t just about design; it’s about the person the design is for and contributing to their story. When I work with a client, my passion is to take their personality, vision, and dreams, and translate them into a brand that people love. I revel in being given the chance to use my design experience and intuition to connect and create.
Outside of the professional sphere, I seek a calm, cozy life with books, plants, matcha, and my miniature dachshund. I’m a writer and an avid gamer, but I also enjoy time in the outdoors soaking up sunshine, preferably with my camera in hand.
Why I do what I do
I started learning how to build websites when I was eleven, and graphic design followed not two years later. Since then, no matter what career or industry I have found myself in, I have used those skills in some way. When I had my indie hand-dyed yarn brand, my favorite thing to do was design graphics for products and social media. When I worked retail, I reveled in the chance to make signs for the store or worksheets for team meetings. No matter what, I have always come back to design. So how does this fit into this section of the page where I’m supposed to tell you the Why behind what I do? Well, it’s simple. As my ikigai, design gives me life. Making an impact on your journey through branding or website design gives me life. Knowing that every day I get to help other solopreneurs like myself go after their dreams and goals gives me life.
That being said, while I have worked with clients whose companies range from just them to whole teams, my main passion is working with small businesses and solopreneurs. I know how tough it can be doing it all yourself — and how much it can help for me to come alongside and support you with my expertise. I look forward to seeing how I can do this for you.
